The Migration is complete. Big thanks to all our visiting bartenders and chefs.

Libation Migration – our two month-long initiative to bring visiting bartenders from all over the country (and continent) to pair with local chefs has completed. It was a truly wonderful experience to bring all these great and talented folks to Asheville, and we feel honored to have hosted them. We laughed, we cried, we drank a lot of bourbon.

The Faces of Libation Migration (from left to right):
FIRST LINE: Dan Lynch (Sweet Cheeks), Justin Burdett (Local Provisions), Kat Hunter (Bourbon Bar), Kristian Niemi (Bourbon Bar), Luke Edson (The Berry & Rye)
SECOND LINE: AJ Pitner (Buxton Hall Barbecue), Megan Barnes (McClellan’s Retreat), James Albee (Sovereign Remedies), Fabien Maillard (Le Lab)

Check out our videos from the Migration below, and learn how to make some great whiskey cocktails using Bulleit whiskey – our partner throughout the series.

Welcome to MG Road

MG Road is a creative cocktail bar & lounge, located just around the corner from Chai Pani, at 19 Wall Street in downtown Asheville. In our kitchen we host a rotating roster of both upstart & renowned chefs and pop-up concepts. Currently we are hosting weekly events including Miami Nights and Studio Inferno (see more info below).

Our bar team of Erin Hawley and Alex Flynn keep the focus on the art of the craft cocktail. The team balances technique & tradition with a level of creativity & innovation that’s been written up from Food & Wine Magazine to The Times of India.

With acclaimed cocktails, local craft beers, eclectic wines from around the world, innovative & fun food, warm hospitality, and a stylish yet intimate and comfortable setting, MG Road is redefining the idea of the neighborhood bar.

Our beloved barkeeps of yesteryear Pat Hinson & Kyle Gray Beach are behind the stick together once again. Chef Joe Marple will be serving up greasy roadside eats and Pabst Blue Ribbon will be stocking us up the the coldest beer in town.
